WX-13

Zephyrus provided the National Weather Service with a data system that increased the amount of transmitted EMWIN data by a factor of eight times. At the receive end, our WX family of receivers set standards for reception of EMWIN data. In addition to dynamic visual imagery, this information contains national and local weather forecast information, summaries, and emergency warning alarms for all counties of the United States.

The WX-13 system offers excellent performance and automatic satellite backup.

All that's needed is the WX-13 system and a computer.

A dual WX-13 system with WX-13ATX automatic switcher monitors two different satellites and instantly switches to the backup in case of equipment OR satellite failure.

Equipment included:
A 3.5" rack panel mounts one or two WX-13's. Outside, a 1.7 meter mesh dish and electronics for each receiver are connected with a RG-6 cable.

Software:
RealEMWIN software from Skywatch Servces is included.

Dish Alignment:
A variable pitch tone assures "dead on the money" dish aiming.

Outputs:
DB9 output for EMWIN data.

Options:
WX-13ATX (1.75" rack panel) provides auto switching between two WX-13's.
WX-13RTO retransmission option allows the received data to be sent a long distance as an audio signal. The RTO is included within a WX-13ATX.
